Questions Your Witnesses May Be Asked at Your Disability Hearing

At your Social Security disability hearing, your Ocala disability lawyer or the Administrative Law Judge will ask your witnesses questions about their observations of you. During the hearing, a witness is under oath and must answer all questions truthfully and completely. Depending on your relationship with the witness, your Ocala disability lawyer may question the witness a variety of topics ranging from your mobility to any physical symptoms the witness has noticed.

If you experience fatigue, your lawyer may ask your witness to describe any circumstances when the witness noticed the fatigue and if the witness knows what may have caused the fatigue.

Finally, if you are suffering from a mental or emotional disability, your lawyer should question your witness about any changes the witness has seen in you over the past few years including problems with memory and depression. All of these answers will help an Administrative Law Judge obtain a complete understanding of your current medical condition.
